Advantages of Prepaid Cellular Plans
It wasn’t long ago that anyone without stellar credit didn’t have the option to get a cell phone without a huge deposit. Luckily, today we have prepaid cellular services. Prepaid providers have you pay for your service in advance.
Some providers allow you to buy minutes in increments much like you would a pre paid phone card. When the amount you paid for is up, the service will no longer work until you buy more airtime.
Most prepaid providers work by the “buy your minutes” model mentioned above, some prepaid cell phone providers have monthly plans, much like a regular cellular service provider.
You sign up for a specific plan that provides a certain amount of anytime minutes (some also offer unlimited nights and/or weekend minutes) and a certain amount of features at one flat price. While the cost per minute is usually lower than that of “buy minutes” services, you pay the plan fee regardless of if you used the all of the minutes available to you.
